Skate Spots (v1)

My husband is an avid skateboarder, and we take photos of every skatepark we visit. I decided to make a website to showcase and rate all of the different parks we'd checked out over the years. This was the first version, done completely in flash. It had a great graphic look, but in the end took too long to maintain and upkeep. Thus, version two!

Cheer Cards

I designed the front end of this one-page website, as the graphic/web designer of the EventIQ team. EventIQ had a programmer to do the backend PHP work: I wrote layout and graphic creation, HTML, and CSS. This my favorite site design that I created for EventIQ - I really like the organization and flow of this page. It's easy to follow and easy to use.

Event IQ

I designed this skin for the EventIQ website, which was created using the Website Baker CMS. I was responsible for the initial design, incorporating team feedback, and coding the HTML/CSS to work with the CMS. The 'admit one' ticket is one of the marketing ideas that I came up with, and I like to think it's a clever one.

Get it to go

I had a personal site for many years, which hosted my photos, blog, poetry, and lots of other little random such things. When I finally gave in and switched to flickr, blogger, and the like, I decided to replace my personal site with a page of links to the new content locations. This is what I came up with: version takeout. The idea behind the version name is that everything that used to be 'at home' on my website was now at different locations, like going out to dinner instead of eating in.

InviteRight

I designed this template and graphical content for the front end of the InviteRight website, as the graphic/web designer of the EventIQ team. The site uses a custom PHP CMS that had been created several years earlier by EventIQ. I was responsible for the initial design, incorporating team feedback, and coding the HTML/CSS to work with the CMS. We did a lot of work on getting the right content to show up on the homepage, and did a lot of site optimization and content tailoring to make the site more user-friendly and intuitive.

InviteRight Adminstration

I worked on the Administration Area of InviteRight as the graphic/web designer of the EventIQ team. The site uses a custom PHP CMS that had been created several years earlier by EventIQ, and needed a graphic and user interface overhaul to keep up with developing technologies. Our team put in a lot of hours of user testing, design variations, and usability discussions to get the best and functionality and design out of the site as we could. It was a monumental effort, and very worth it - the customers find this much easier to use than the previous version.

Recipe Trove

I had a blast designing this site for myself. I've always had a big paper pile of recipes sitting around my cupboards, and had long wanted to digitize the whole bunch. I chose to do this by learning some basic PHP, and setting up a MySQL backend to run the site. My favorite part of this website is the staggered layout of the recipe pages. It just makes me happy.

ML String Things

I designed this one-page website as the graphic/web designer of the EventIQ team. We were designing a simple site to showcase and provide sales options for 'String Things' made by two local pre-teen girls. I was given several product shots and got to dream the rest of the design up myself. Here's what I came up with!

Younglife

I created a new look for the North-East Edmonton Younglife site. This was the splash screen, where you chose your club - Jr High, Sr High, or Parents/Sponsors. The site was set up to deliver different content based on the demographic chosen.

Younglife (Sr High)

I created a new look for the North-East Edmonton Younglife site. This was a mockup of the highschool screen. There were plans for a calendar, picture gallery, news/events, a bit about the club, and other online goodies like polls and networking.
