Canada Day window decorations

I’m always in awe of those people who decorate for holidays way in advance. I’m the “let’s make it up the day before” kind of decorator. And sometimes the “why bother” kind of decorator. But this year Little Miss was just dying to have Canada Day decorations.

So, instead of buying whichever decorations were left at the dollar store, we came home with 2 pieces of poster board. We cut the poster board into 11″ squares and designed what we wanted – a “Happy Canada Day” letters, 1 small maple leaf, and 5 big ones.

After cutting them out with the Cricut Maker, we tested out a few layout options on our living room floor before deciding on the circle of maple leaves, with text above:
